GamesCom 2024 Just a Game?

“The biggest community in the world” will gather this year between August 21 and 25 for GamesCom 2024 in Cologne. At least, that's the official motto of what is claimed to be the "world's biggest games event." An overview.

Classroom simulation game: Climate Neutral City

Take part in the international internet-based simulation game "Climate Neutral City"! Students take on the roles of various interest groups in the fictitious city of Fonta, discuss and negotiate under the leadership of the mayor in their respective national languages, with which measures they can reduce the CO2 emissions of their city by 50% by 2030.

The Digital Junioruni is a free online learning platform for high school students. It empowers students to find answers to the most exciting questions from the fields of robotics, space, energy, sustainability, nature, and technology—all while learning the German language.

Afghan Cultural Fund

The Afghanistan Cultural Fund is committed to supporting Afghan cultural practitioners. It aims to support artists in Afghanistan and abroad to continue their creative work, to ensure that cultural heritage is protected and valued. A special focus is given to women practitioners who have particularly suffered a cutback in their liberties under the current Taliban regime. More on “Culture”.
