Series of events to mark the Kafka jubilee

On the occasion of the jubilee year on Franz Kafka, the Goethe-Institut Brussels invites you to a series of events as part of its European Network German programme.

FILM SCREENING "THE GLORY OF LIFE"

To kick things off, we are delighted to invite you to a film evening "The Glory of Life" at the Goethe-Institut on 30 September 2024. "The Glory of Life" (2024) is a German-Austrian co-production and is based on the book of the same name by Michael Kumpfmüller. The film, directed by Georg Maas and Judith Kaufmann, tells the moving story of the great love between Franz Kafka and Dora Diamant. 

COURSE UNIT FOR NON-NATIVE SPEAKERS

On 10 October, the alumni (non-native speakers) of the Europanetzwerk Deutsch will take part in a course at the Goethe-Institut. This will give you an insight into the life and work of Franz Kafka and the exhibition ‘Komplett Kafka’. If you are interested, you can register using the registration form linked below. 

LITERARY DISCUSSION WITH NICOLAS MAHLER

Together with the Bildungskooperation Deutsch and the Austrian Cultural Forum, we invite you to join us at the Goethe-Institut on 17 October for a literary discussion with Nicolas Mahler about ‘Complete Kafka’ and a visit to the poster exhibition as the grand finale.
