For A Safer Space
We welcome everyone to use our library and to attend our German courses and events.
The Goethe-Institut Finnland is located in Salomonkatu 5 B, Kamppi, Helsinki. Our facilities are accessible by elevator, (assistant) dogs are welcome and we have and all-gender restrooms.
In order to maintain a comfortable atmosphere appropriate for work, study and cultural exchange at the Goethe-Institut Finnland and on the digital platforms used by Goethe-Institut and its partners we want to secure that every participant and visitor is aware of our code of conduct. By using our facilities you commit yourself to be responsible for your behavior and follow these rules.
Every person must be treated equally and respectfully. No one should make assumptions of or question someone’s background, gender or experiences. Discrimination and any kind of harassment are strictly forbidden and won't be tolerated. This includes the use of language.
Every person must ensure the safety of visitors, language course participants and staff as well as protect the materials and services of the Goethe-Institut from harm.
We do not tolerate disruptive, endangering, harming or discriminating behavior. In conflict situations, the organiser of events as the team of Goethe-Institut Finnland has the right to intervene. Ignoring the rules can lead to suspense from our premises or digital platforms. The length of the suspense is defined individually and may be ranging from one day to three months.
Access to the offices, platforms and areas that are specifically reserved for members of the Goethe-Institut staff is only permitted with the consent of the same.
Our staff is responsible for consistently enforcing these guidelines in order to maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. If you witness or experience any harassment inside the Goethe-Institut Finnland or its digital platforms please inform a staff member immediately.
