Film Katja Benrath:
Rocca changes the world

at Oulu International Children's and Youth Film festival

An 11-year-old girl called Rocca is living quite a unique life. Raised by her astronaut-father, Rocca has learned to take care of herself and others from a young age. But when she moves Hamburg, she immediately stands out because of her one-of-a-kind personality. The happy, brave and outspoken Rocca does not approve any kind of injustice, and she always steps in when someone is been treated unfairly — even when others find her ideas crazy.

The award-winning movie deals with many topical themes such as bullying, smartphones and social media. It also takes a stand on homelessness and the bias against homeless people from the perspective of a child.
