An informal gathering and exchange around a chosen topic of German language or culture.

Goethe-Institut Glasgow

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Franz Kafka's death. The influence of the author, who was born in Prague in 1883 and wrote in German, is undiminished. Join us on the trail of this complicated genius and learn more about his life and work. You can also explore the Goethe-Institut Kafka anniversary exhibition ‘Komplett Kafka’ by Viennese cartoonist Nicolas Mahler. As always, we look forward to seeing you!

'Deutsche Runde' is an informal gathering and exchange around a chosen topic of German language or culture. It is ideal for learners with some knowledge of German (B1 and higher). We meet once a month on a Thursday afternoon.

Participation is free of charge. You can register via Eventbrite, but it is not essential to do so.

Further meetings:
7 November
5 December
