Calling all young German learners in Scotland: Are you ready to show off your creativity and passion for learning German?

Who Can Enter?

The competition is open to groups of pupils or entire classes from P6 to S6 in Scotland.

Submissions must come via a teacher, with confirmation that the school agrees to participate.

What Are the Prizes?

1️⃣ First Prize: A professional foosball table for your class or school!

2️⃣ Second Prize: A book token voucher to encourage even more learning

3️⃣ Third Prize: A fun-filled goodie pack

What Do You Need to Do?

Submit a creative video with a focus on your tips for learning German. For example:
  • Your favourite song which taught you German
  • Tipps to learn vocab
  • Your favourite project you did in German class
The theme is: "Meine Tipps fürs Deutschlernen" ("My Tips for Learning German").

The entries should primarily be in German, though some English can be included where needed.
Videos should be between 1-3 minutes long.
Impress us with your enthusiasm, ideas, and creativity!

How to Submit?

Please have your teacher send your class's entry along with the school’s confirmation of participation to: educational-services-uk@goethe.de by 7 February.
The videos should be in MP4 format and titled with the name of your school.

Terms and Conditions

  • Entries will be judged on the creativity of their ideas and execution, their use of German, and the content of the video.
  • The Goethe-Institut will cover all shipping costs for prizes within mainland Scotland. Schools outwith this area winning the first prize can cover the additional shipping cost to reach their location or opt for second or third prize.
  • By submitting an entry to the competition, you are giving your consent for the video, class name, year of study and school to be published on the Goethe-Institut's website and social media pages.
