STEP 1: Course Selection and Placement
Under the menu item "Dates and Prices", select the desired course in the course finder. Use the filter to simplify your search. The following filter options are available:

• learning speed
• Course format
• Course type
• Level   

After clicking the "BOOK" button, you will see information about the selected course and the price to be paid. If you are a complete beginner or a returning student, click on "NEXT."

• As a complete beginner, choose level A1.1.
• As a returning student, choose the next level if you have successfully completed the course. You can find an overview of the levels here. 

Placement Test: If you wish to attend any of our courses and already have some knowledge of German, we offer you a free placement test.
After you have booked the placement test via our website, you will receive an access code and further instructions by email. We will then have a short interview with you via ZOOM. You will receive the invitation to the oral interview no later than 2 working days after completing the placement test. This allows us to accurately assess your German language skills and find the most suitable course for you.                                                             BOOK PLACEMENT TEST

STEP 2: Personal information

• If you are already registered on "MeinGoethe.de”, enter your login details, if not – then click on the "Register" button.
• Here you will find the instructions for registration on MeinGoethe.de in PDF format. You will also find the video tutorial below:

Minors:

• The parent/guardian selects “book for my child” in the registration step;
• Fill in your own personal details;
• Then enter the child's personal details;
• At the end you pay for the course for the child. 

• After registering/logging in, please check your personal information and click on "NEXT".

STEP 3: Discount code
As a returning student you will receive the discount code from the language course office to the email address stored in your account.
Please enter the discount code into the appropriate field during registration. The discounted price will then appear on your screen.
If you are a returning student and have not received the discount code or have lost it, please send an email to:

If you are a new comer ar the Goethe Institut, click on „continue“.

STEP 4: Payment
You have the opportunity to pay for the course via credit card.

• Pay now Master- or VisaCard. With When paying with MasterCard or VisaCard, the fee must be paid within 30 minutes, otherwise your registration will be automatically cancelled.
• Click on "Credit Card", enter the 16-digit number of your credit card, as well as the expiry date (month/year) and 3-digit CVV (on the back of your bank card).
• Once your card has been verified, the course fee will be deducted and the course place will be booked for you/your child.

Please consider that the final reservation of a course enrollment requires payment of the full course fee.

Refund policy:

• You are allowed to cancel the course. If you cancel the course before the beginning of your second class, the course fee will be refunded less an administration fee of 50.00 GEL.
•  If you cancel the course after the second lesson, no refund will be given.

To get a refund for a card payment, you must send an email to the course office stating that you wish to cancel the course:

Information on whether classes take place on public holidays will be provided at the beginning of the trimester.

All participants who have attended a course at the Goethe-Institut in the actual term receive a 5% discount on the child's and youth’s courses and a 10% discount on all other courses for next trimester. Each participant will receive after end of actual trimester discount code at the email address given in the program when registering, so that you can register with a discount for new trimester.
 

The course fee will be refunded in the event of withdrawal before the start of the course minus an administration fee of 50 GEL. In case of withdrawal after the start of the course (on the second day of the course) no refund will be made. The Goethe-Institute reserves the right to cancel a course, if there are too few participants. In this case, the entire course fee will be refunded.

1. General conditions of participation
Our German courses are aimed at all participants from 8 years and older.  There are special conditions for children and youth courses: Children 8 - 11 years, teenagers 12 - 16 years. Adult courses are for participants from 16 years on.

2. Terms of payment
Registration and payment only takes place online on the website. There is only one option: the course/exam fee can be paid via bank card.

3. Prices
3.1 The prices valid at the time of registration in the current Goethe-Institute course brochure are an integral part of the contract. There are different prices for individual and small group courses. Teaching material is included in the course fee.
3.2. If the course participant initiates a rebooking (e.g. change of course date or course change), only the first rebooking is free of charge. Any further changes cost 2% of the course fee.

4. Withdrawal
The course fee will be refunded in the event of withdrawal before the start of the course minus an administration fee of 50 GEL. In case of withdrawal after the start of the course (on the second day of the course) no refund will be made. 5. Course division/class size/duties of the course participant
5.1 Participants who have no knowledge of German are enrolled directly for course A1.1. If the participants have basic knowledge of German, they will be assigned a course level based on the placement test at the institute.
5.2 Our courses have a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 18 participants. If there are too few participants (less than 4 participants) at the beginning of the course, we reserve the right to cancel or postpone this course. In this case we offer the participants the possibility to change to another course or to get the whole course fee refunded. Alternatively, we suggest small group courses at the same course price with a smaller number of teaching units:

5.3 Course changes should only be made in consultation with the course office and the course instructor.
5.4 The course participant is obliged to follow the course and house rules valid at the institute, which you will receive from your course instructor on the 1st day of the course.
5.5 The lessons that are brought forward will take place via ZOOM. The details will be communicated by the course teacher via e-mail. All classes has short term in the summer trimester. Please note your booking confirmation.

6. Confirmation of participation
Students must prove at least 70% attendance in order to receive a certificate of attendance for the course. 

7. Liability of the Goethe-Institute/force majeure
The liability of GI and its employees is limited to intent and gross negligence. The GI is also not liable for the failure of its services due to force majeure (e.g. natural disasters, fire, floods, war, official orders and all other circumstances beyond the control of the parties to the contract).

8. Data protection
The participant agrees that GI may process the personal information of the participants in the electronic database during registration/payment. The student agrees to receive the information from GI.
