2024 celebrates the 125th Year of Erich Kästner's birth. To pay tribute to this important German author, we have chosen the film FABIAN: GOING TO THE DOGS, an adaptation of Kästner's semi-autobiographical fiction, to kick off the new edition of GERMAN FILM FORUM.



Starring Tom Schilling (Oh Boy, Never Look Away), this film by celebrated German director Dominik Graf brilliantly captures the frenetic life on the eve of the Nazi dictatorship with a pointed and melancholic style, portraying the disintegration of happiness amidst societal collapse.
