THE FLYING CLASSROOM is one of the most popular children novel written by the German writer Erich Kästner and has been adapted to several films. To celebrate the 125th Year of Kästner's birth, we are showing the newest adaptation of THE FLYING CLASSROOM, directed and written by the Swedish filmmaker Carolina Hellsgård.  



Martina wins a scholarship to attend a prestigious boarding school in the Alps. Upon arrival, she instantly becomes embroiled in the bitter feud between the boarders and the “day pupils“. Martina finds herself torn between academic aspirations, family responsibilities, and loyalty to newfound friends. This new adaptation adds a contemporary point of view and female protagonists to the well-known story.
