In 2018, Spotlight Iraq funded 13 multidisciplinary projects designed by inspiring artists. These projects have been selected by an independent jury which assessed 88 project applications from whole Iraq. Spotlight Iraq’s projects work in a variety of media, including theatre plays and poetry, performances, and film productions. The projects stimulate conversations about various topics of socio-political significance, such as memory, history, religion, ethnicity, war, freedom and love. By tackling these topics, Spotlight Iraq offers a platform for cultural players, bringing together a multitude of voices with the aim of enhancing dialogue and discourse about diversity in Iraq.
