On Fridays, people interested in literature and culture come together at the Mutanabbi Street in Baghdad. On November 29, the Mada Foundation and the Goethe-Institut Irak invite you to the last Chai Talk of the year. The event starts at 11 AM and offers participants the opportunity to discuss literature, art and culture in a relaxed atmosphere.

On November 30 from 6-7.30 PM, thoughts will take flight again when six to nine-year-olds read stories at Bulbul and then turn them into an artistic activity. The event will take place as part of the German Christmas Market and is organised in cooperation with the Sêv Gallery.

On Saturday, November 30 at 7 PM, you can look forward to an exhibition opening entitled ‘Dream’.

The exhibition explores the close connection between women and nature. The works on display capture powerful realities and show how women shape their surroundings. The colours reflect the beauty of nature, the landscapes of Kurdistan and the rich, thriving environment.

With two concerts, showcasing the brilliant versatility of Jazz music, “Jazz in/à Erbil”, organised by the Goethe-Institut Irak and the Institut Français d’Irak à Erbil, entered its sixth year. The remarkable collaboration between musicians from Europe and the Kurdistan region demonstrated once more that music transcends boundaries.
