Diversity Trainer in the Middle East (Online/Hybrid)
Scope of Services
- Develop and implement a training program on diversity tailored to the Middle East, specifically for Jordanian, Palestinian, Iraqi, Egyptian and Moroccan cultural and legal contexts.
- Create training materials and resources in both Arabic and English.
- Conduct online/hybrid workshop for authors and illustrators, addressing various aspects of diversity relevant to children's books in the Middle East.
- Advise on:
- cultural nuances and legal considerations related to diversity in the MENA region.
- promoting diversity in children's literature, considering local cultural and legal frameworks.
- Optional: Provide mentorship (three 1-hour sessions for five tandems, totaling 15 hours) to authors and illustrators during the story creation process.
Eligibility Criteria
Required:
- Proven experience with diversity topics, especially in the Middle East.
- In-depth knowledge of cultural and legal frameworks regarding diversity in the Middle East.
- Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Residency in the Middle East.
- Willingness to travel within the Middle East.
Preferred:
- Experience in diversity in children's literature or education.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
