Laila Baza

Laila Baza is a consultant in international development, trainer, and aspiring scriptwriter. She was born in Cairo, Egypt, and studied political science at Cairo University. From a young age, she had a passion for community work and social justice, which motivated her to pursue a career in the development field. Initially, she began as an economic researcher and later transitioned to project management, working on diverse projects in the Middle East and North Africa region. These projects encompassed a wide range of topics, such as human rights, development, and arts and culture. Currently, Laila works as a freelance consultant, offering technical assistance and capacity building to various development organizations and stakeholders.

Passant Elbadrawy

As cultural operator and trainer with an 8-year experience in project management, Elbadrawy started her career in digital marketing and content creation at MAD Solutions, where she created and translated content for prestigious festivals such as Cairo International Film Festival, Alexandria Film Festival, and Ismailia International Film Festival for Documentaries and Short Films. In 2015, Elbadrawy made a career shift to the field of cultural development, becoming the Program Officer of Tamasi Performing Arts Collective, which operated in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine. Elbadrawy’s scope includes management of the Capacity Building Program from coordination to developing training modules, partnerships in addition to conducting trainings in communication skills, fundraising, and proposal writing. She is also a fundraiser and wrote winning proposals for Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), the British Council, and the EU. She is currently working as Outreach and Projects Manager at AUC’s Tahrir Cultural Center.

Dr. Phil. Patrick S. Föhl

He is an international cultural development planner and cultural management trainer and founder and director of the »Network for Cultural Consulting« in Berlin. Since 2004, he was responsible for over 40 long term participatory cultural planning projects for cities, regions and states. As a lecturer, speaker and trainer, he works worldwide at universities and institutions (e.g. Austria, Egypt, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, China, Chile, Luxemburg, Nigeria, Pakistan, Poland, Spain, Switzerland, Tunesia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, USA, Vietnam, Yemen). He regularly publishes in the fields of cultural policy and cultural management. Since 2014, he is involved as a trainer and coach in the development and the execution of different empowerment projects in Ukraine, latest the Cultural Transformation Lab Ukraine. From 2016 until 2021, he was on the board of the »Education and Discource« division of the Goethe-Institut.

Adalet R. Garmiany

Adalet R. Garminay is an expert in strategic cultural partnerships, founding director of ArtRole www.artrole.org , artist, curator, culture consultant, film director, and writer. Over the past 25 years, Garmiany has gained extensive knowledge and experience in the fields of culture, arts, and human rights in the Middle East, working on partnership projects and initiatives with European and American NGOs, educational institutions, and other arts organizations. He committed to building cultural bridges between Middle Eastern communities and the rest of the world. He also conducted workshops that emphasized the value of cultural exchange and the role of arts and culture in conflict and post-conflict areas. Internationally, Adalet R. Garmiany worked with artists, scholars, curators, playwrights, diplomats, art institutions, and universities around the world.

Ibtissam Ghazoui

Abduljabbar Alsuhili is a young Yemeni cultural activist with six years of experience as the representative director of the art critics group “Rawbit Cultural and Media Foundation” and a ICORN artist in Helsingborg, Sweden, as well as the co-founder ECHO organization that aims to advance educational and cultural empowerment for the Yemeni youth in and outside of Yemen.

Marina Barham

A Trainer in the field of Cultural Management in the Arab World since 2006 with Al Mawred Resource, Tamasi Collective, and Goethe Institute in Berlin and in Palestine. A speaker at several International conferences, festivals & events.Produced many theater productions for the last 23 years. Managed several international, regional and local tours, and Euro Med Projects. Curated Palestine International Theater Festival for Children and Youth, Yalla Yalla Street Festival, as well as Bethlehem Site-Specific Theatre Festival in Palestine.
