Films - Science - Youth
The Goethe-Institut Namibia and partners present Science Week 2017 as a buildup to UNESCO World Science Day for Peace and Development on 10 November 2017. Schools from across Windhoek have been invited for a series of events that include informative films from the Science Film Festival 2017. The films promote science literacy and facilitates awareness of contemporary scientific, technological and environmental issues. A screening will be followed by an experiment to actively engage learners. Partners include the University of Namibia (UNAM), Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), Namibia Scientific Society (NWG), National Commission on Research Science & Technology (NCRST) and the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME).
