Tanzanian Musicians watch out! The Music In Africa Conference for Collaborations, Exchange and Showcases (ACCES) invites African musicians based on the continent to apply for an opportunity to showcase at ACCES 2024 in Kigali, Rwanda, from 14 to 16 November. The application deadline is 15 April 2024 (midnight CAT).
Organised by the Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF) in different cities across the continent, ACCES offers a platform for performers to showcase their talent to a diverse audience of local and international delegates, including festival curators, promoters, booking agents, record labels and other influential industry professionals. The ACCES programme also includes workshops, conference sessions, live performances, networking spaces, exhibitions and more.
Siemens Stiftung and Goethe-Institut created the concept for Music In Africa in 2011 with the help of more than 100 professional musicians, academics, journalists, managers, and educators from Africa and other countries around the world. To ensure longevity and to make it a truly African project, the nonprofit Music In Africa Foundation was established in 2013 in South Africa. Since then ACCES has taken place in Dakar (2017), Nairobi (2018), Accra (2019), Johannesburg (2021) and Dar es Salaam (2022 and 2023).
