Meg Moore
Meg Moore, now based in Hilton KZN, has a Fine Arts degree from Rhodes University, majoring in photography and oil painting. While at Rhodes she worked in Galleries and took photos for local events, such as The National Arts Festival. Then after spending a few years living in Vietnam and traveling Asia, where she ran a jewellery line – Dear Sparrow. She then moved back to the Midlands in 2020 where she co-founded an art collective – The Aesthete and became a mural / Multimedia artist.
Moore Murals is inspired by the community around her, capturing people and spaces around her in a way that goes beyond face value. Murals especially, add to a community in a very obvious and impactful way. It becomes part of a community’s everyday routine and the people who are able to interact with it are able to take ownership of the art work. It also has the power to break barriers of a traditional gallery space by bringing art to the people.
