Through a focus on urban art projects, this conversation between Priyakorn Pusawrio and Shawn Chua will explore how digital media technologies have the potential to radically transform and enable new forms of conviviality, interactivity and social engagement. About the Speakers


Priyakorn Pusawiro is a professor in Creative Technology and Social Computing, ESIC LAB at King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand. She graduated in Statistics and Computer Engineering, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Later, she joined “Future of Learning” research at Media LAB, MIT to create the playful and tangible technology for Kids in LEGO project. Thereafter, she continued her research at Technical University Hamburg-Harburg and later graduated a Doctorate degree in Computer Engineering, focused on Digital Media from University of Bremen, Germany.

Shawn Chua is a researcher and artist engaged with embodied archives, uncanny personhoods, and the participatory frameworks of play. He holds an MA in Performance Studies from Tisch School of the Arts, New York University, and is a recipient of the National Arts Council’s Arts Scholarship (Postgraduate).
