CYCLE UP! - International Poster Exhibition / Rahvusvaheline Plakatinäitus

The international student poster exhibition is the result of a competition that asked students to create original artworks that emphasize the inclusivity of cycling and the importance of sustainable urban mobility.

The current exhibition features a selection of the best works of art and aims to highlight the joy of cycling, its positive impact on our environment and health, and its role in promoting European unity through cultural activities. The European Peace Ride (EPR), a cycling event connecting the countries of Central Europe, is a partner in this initiative and one of the winning posters will be used to promote EPR activities.

The exhibition can be seen in the courtyard of the Aparaaditehas in May.

On Saturday, May 4th from 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m at the Aparaaditehas in Tartu, the Paranduskelder repair café moves outdoors for an afternoon! The season is already here, but do some of you still have bikes with a squeaky chain and bad brakes? Come to the Aparaaditehas courtyard to give your bikes a quick spring service and make sure everything is working as it should. For more serious problems, we recommend coming directly to the Paranduskelder on Thursdays when the usual bicycle repair evening takes place there.

If the weather is bad, the repair café will be held in the Paranduskelder (in front of the Aparaaditehas).

The exhibition is part of the Ministry of Curiosity programme from the Goethe-Institut in Tartu. The program includes literature, film, art, music and panel discussions.
