Anyone who attends school in Germany is very likely to come across a work by Theodor Fontane in German class.This year we are celebrating his 200th birthday. In addition to the novel "Effi Briest," the poem of "Herr von Ribbeck auf Ribbeck im Havelland" is especially remembered by many students - because they had to learn it by heart. A particularly beautiful illustrated version, spoken by the actor Otto Sander, can be found on youtube.
