16-year-old Sabine (Jana Pallaske) is new to the East Berlin prefab housing estate. Through her classmate, 17-year-old Eddi (Frank Droese), she gets to know the clique around 18-year-old petty criminal Micha (Toni Blume). A few days after her arrival, Sabine bumps into Micha, who flees with a knife in his hand on her way home. A few steps further on, Sabine finds a boy in a large pool of blood. He is dead. Sabine is paralyzed. Her shock deepens when Micha threatens her on the phone. Eddi begins to care for Sabine and a shy affection grows between the two. What Sabine doesn't know is that Eddi himself is involved in the murder and wants to find out what Sabine saw. Micha wants to get rid of Sabine. He puts Eddi under pressure. It comes to a dramatic showdown between Eddi, Micha, Sabine and the others.
