Watching YouTube and TikTok videos, posting photos or stories on Instagram or Snapchat, and texting friends on WhatsApp - are important activities for young people.
Social media have become an indispensable part of young people's everyday lives. They meet adolescents' need for communication, self-expression, recognition and connection with peers. The most important social media apps for young people are WhatsApp and Intstagram, followed by Snapchat, Pinterest and TikTok.
