Anna, a student from Berlin, shows in an 8-minute
video how each and every one of us can help to conserve the resources of our planet in our everyday lives.
To do so, she takes us around the German capital Berlin for a day and demonstrates how we can make our everyday life in a big German city environmentally friendly and sustainable. Sustainable living starts with the separation of waste, continues with the use of public transportation and bicycles and extends to packaging-free supermarkets. Young people in particular have become increasingly committed to the environment throughout the past years and have joined climate movements and environmentally oriented parties. Anna finds out the motivation behind these actions in a conversation with a party member of “Bündnis 90/Die Grünen” (The Greens).
You can download the interactive worksheet ''Sustainable Living in Berlin'' for the video.
In addition to that, there is a power point presentation with teachers' advice on the topic available.
