Born in 1987, Jonatan Schwenk is a Berlin-based independent filmmaker, animator, sound designer, and storyboard artist. He studied visual communication at the University of Art and Design in Offenbach (HfG) and the Kunsthochschule Kassel. In his work, he focuses on combining animation techniques into hybrid forms. His films include the animated short Sog (2017), which screened at international festivals and received awards such as the Annecy Cristal for a Graduation Film, and the short film Zoon (2022), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. In 2022, the Telluride Film Festival invited Schwenk to its “Filmmaker of Tomorrow” section.
