Alexandre Kyungu Mwilambwe was born in 1992 in Kinshasa DRCongo where he currently lives and works. He studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Kinshasa. He is co-founder of the group Vision Total and works in collaboration with Kin Art Studio. Alexandre Kyungu has participated in several group exhibitions and artist residencies in his country and abroad. His work will be presented in the project ''slowly arriving'' at the Museum of Modern Art, Kunsthaus Baselland in Switzerland, the 14C Art Fair in New Jersey, the Tokyo International Art Fair and the Prizm Art Fair in New York (Calabar Gallery). In his artistic practice, Kyungu combines painting, drawing, sculpture and installation. His work deals with notions of migration and identity, borders and space, signs and symbols. He addresses issues related to urban space and explores the parallels between urban cartography and body scarification.''
