Edna Bettencourt
Edna Bettencourt is an Angolan curator, cultural agent, and producer. She holds a degree in Administration and Translation from the University of Aveiro in Portugal. Based in Luanda, Edna is a prominent figure in Angola's art scene, representing the new generation of cultural agents making a significant impact. From 2018 to 2021, Edna served as the Director of a commercial gallery in Luanda.
During this time, she also worked as a curator and cultural agent/producer on various projects. Edna produced the Luanda edition of "The Power of My Hands," a group exhibition from the Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris at the National History Museum in Luanda (April to May 2023). Currently, Edna Bettencourt is the Project Manager for the Nesr Art Foundation, which is based in Angola and Belgium. In this role, she contributes to the foundation's mission of supporting Angolan artists, and artists from the continent, through a platform for dialogue and exchange within Africa and internationally.
