Jean Kamba

Jean Kamba lives and works in Kinshasa. He has a degree in information and communication sciences from the Université Pédagogique Nationale (UPN) in Kinshasa. Writer, poet, independant researcher and art critic, he is also a curator. He follows up, mediates and evaluates the work of Kinshasa artists in their creative workshops and places of experimentation.
He has several exhibitions to his credit. His essays and reviews are published in international catalogues and magazines such as OBSIDIAN Literature and Arts in the African Diaspora; OnCurating; Contemporary& ; Inense Art Magazine; The Sole Adventurer; The Art Momentum; Inter, art actuel; etc. In 2017 Jean Kamba was invited as an art critic to Documenta in Kassel-Athens as part of a Goethe-Institut programme. Via Another Road Map School-Africa cluster (ARAC), of which he is a member, he participated again in Documenta fifteen.
