Khadija El Abyad

Khadija EL ABYAD © Amine Oulmakki Khadija El Abyad is a multidisciplinary visual artist. She was born in 1991 in Agadir and works in Rabat, Morocco. Her practice is essentially developed around SCREENS OF THE BODY in various dimensions; the intimate, the cultural and social; the notion that corporeality is adopted by the artist as a character and support which allows her to translate her commitments towards its social future. She has participated in exhibitions including “رقةْالف, PRÄGEN, NUAGE” at Galerie Stihl Waiblingen (Stuttgart, 2023); “THE PROMISE OF A TRACE’’, at Malhoun Art Space, 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair (Marrakech, 2023); SOLO SHOW at ARTORIUM (Casablanca, 2022); “VANTAGE POINT SHARJAH 9” in Sharjah Art Foundation, Hamriyah Studios (Emirate, 2021); “WHAT REMAINS OF OUR LOVE?’’ Kulte Gallery & Editions (Rabat, 2021); ''MOVE L’HORIZON’’ exhibition at the Marseille Photographic Center, Manifesta Biennale 2022; and “TESTED BY THE SIEVE”, at 18 derb el ferrane 1-54 Art Fair (Marrakech, 2020).
