A design competition where participants create a catalog using images from the GLAM institution partners of Retas Budaya.

GLAM institutions

​How? General Requirements

  1. The catalog must use images from GLAM institutions.
  2. Works must be produced with free open source software
  3. The submitted work must be made by you and not someone else
  4. Works submitted must be licensed under the CC BY SA 4.0 license
  5. The contest is for individuals, not groups
  6. Participants may submit up to 3 titles
  7. Each catalog title contains at least 5 material images with the following elements:
    • Cover: includes the title and identity of the sender
    • Opening (max. 1 page): includes an explanation of the theme and a description of the catalog created
    • The material for the picture is accompanied by a brief description, the source link and the name of the institution from which the image is used
    • The final cover: includes the name of the creator, license info, Gimpscape ID logo
  8. Participants are allowed to remake the source image (tracing, remake, fixing color etc.)
  9. The committee has the right to disqualify works that do not adhere to the provisions specified above with or without any notification to the concerned participants.

Please send a catalog of your creations via the link:

in a ZIP archive format that includes catalog files in PNG format (1080 * 1350px or 1080 * 1080px Portrait 300 dpi / page) and SVG open format, XCF or KRA before 31 October 2020 at 10 p.m. WIB.

Please use your name as the name for the ZIP file being sent.

Please upload your work to your Instagram account by including the hashtags #Octobrush2020 and #RetasBudaya and tagging the @goetheinstitut_indonesien and @gimpscape_id accounts.
