Stories from Data is a competition for short story script writing. Participants will use an image, text or audio from a GLAM institution (galleries, libraries, archives, museums) as inspiration for their script. The list of participating institutions can be accessed here:

GLAM institutions

1. Register yourself (for those who don’t have an account) and/or enter your email address and password (for those who already have an account) at www.gwp.id
2. Fill in personal data for new users, confirm personal data for old users (if not complete).
3. Register for the competition via the link https://bit.ly/33HkQuP
4. Perform an open data search in the form of an image through this page.
5. Upload your short story script on GWP in accordance with the applicable terms & conditions.
6. Include the hashtag #CeritadariData and #RetasBudaya in the tag column as a special hashtag for Stories from Data 2020 participants.

1. Click the “Write” feature.
2. Select cover, input title, descriptions, tags, category, and mature / no, then click “Next” (fill in “Descriptions” with a synopsis of your story).
3. Select “New Part”.
4. Select “Back” to return to the Table of Contents page.
5. Select “New Part” again to add a chapter.
6. Click “Publish”.

The creators of the top 3 manuscripts will have their short stories performed and recorded as an audio podcast and read at the Festival Retas Budaya (6-8 November 2020).

The top 10 winners will be awarded

• A contract for the publication of short stories anthology (book and ebook) with the publisher Gramedia.
• A contract for the release of audio podcast with Difalitera.

The top 3 winners will be awarded

• A book package worth 1 million rupiah.
• Stories performed at Festival Retas Budaya.
