Mariano Batocabe is an artist-curator that is primarily influenced by history, culture, and identity. He practices across different mediums such as drawing, installation, and photography. His works deal with one’s own place within their immediate surroundings, and is often a reaction to what is happening in different perceived landscapes in dimensions that range from the personal to the social, the cultural and the political. Batocabe is also one of the founding members of Para://Site Projects, a collective that has been curating shows in alternative and unconventional spaces to initiate collaboration and discourse since 2016.
