Rani Jambak is a Medan-based composer, producer, and vocalist. 
Jambak began her solo career in 2018, spearheading projects such as Medan Soundspectives, a cultural festival celebrating the acoustic diversity of Medan, and working for Goethe Institut Singapore on the project Sound of X.
 
Her new project #FUTUREANCESTOR is an exploration of her Minangkabau ethnic identity, exploring connections with ancestral knowledge, and nature, through sound. She pioneered #FORMYNATURE, a music-ecological campaign in which she produces music to raise awareness on environmental issues. She has also collaborated with conservancy initiatives Orangutan Haven and PPLH Bohorok.
