Saw Tun Lu, born in 1986, graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Botany from Dagon University. His background in Botany laid the groundwork for his extensive career in community service and environmental advocacy. For 17 years at the YMCA, he advanced various programs to enhance community well-being and environmental awareness. He gained further expertise through the International Green Ambassadors training by the Asia and Pacific Alliance of YMCAs and became a key member of their Green Team, promoting green initiatives regionally. As Team Leader of the Green Team at Myanmar YMCA, he led numerous environmental and outreach projects, boosting sustainability efforts in Myanmar. Currently, Saw Tun Lu is the Project Manager for Sustainable Development through Strengthening Youth Employment at Myanmar YMCA. He develops strategies to integrate environmental sustainability with economic growth, creating job opportunities for young people. Additionally, he is a dedicated trainer in Environmental Conservation, Civic Education, and Human Rights Awareness, conducting workshops to empower communities with essential skills for effective stewardship and civic engagement.
