Land in Sicht - Ich brauche nichts
Land in Sicht (Land in sight) – a German rock band is made up of singers Poul Jacobson and Henning Bahnsen, bassist Nico Petersen and drummer Frithjof Vogelsang. The four friends hail from Niebüll in North Friesland in the northernmost tip of Germany. They now live in Hamburg, the world-renown creative metropolis, which is also situated in the north of the country. Their easygoing north German nature lends an instantaneous calm to Land in Sicht’s music.“We want our songs to be quickly accessible. They should be intuitively understood. Yet they still should contain some friction. It’s important for us that they remain interesting. This way of singing is very new,” says Henning. That clearly goes down well with the public. Last year Land in Sicht toured around Germany, playing at the Deichbrand Festival and winning the Bundespreis (national prize) at the Berlin Festival.
We’re introducing you to the German music scene’s hopeful up-and-coming band with the song “Ich brauche nichts” (I need nothing), and the accompanying music video which was filmed last year in Chicago.
