ComMemo is a result of combining the words ‘community’ and ‘memory’. They are a sub-team under RTUS Bangkok that are interested in developing the community through promoting the sense of belonging among community members and, ultimately, a sustainable public participation in the urban development channel in the future. Most city development nonetheless considers "people" as the last priority, especially those in marginalized communities. Hence, the group wants to raise awareness, especially among youths, who will become the city's future, that people are the heart of a city's development mechanism and shouldn't be excluded. Moreover, they want youths to know that they have rights and want them to believe they can change the world with their own effort. A sense of belonging to a community can only be fostered when no one is in danger – a safe community, whether for children, women, elderly or the vulnerable in the community. This was some of the motivation that led the youth group to decide to start the "Inclusafe" campaign, which combines the words "Inclusive" (for everyone) and "safe" (safety). They decided to run the project with the children in Trok Salak Hin, Bangkok's old squatter settlement, to create the tools to contribute to the safety and inclusion of the community. The project activities included exploring the conceptual framework and identifying problems, regarding relevant sociology aspects, safety design activities and presenting the results obtained from the activities with future guideline recommendations.
