This youth campaign created a learning space to design an organic waste management model before waste enters the existing waste management system in Hat Yai municipality. This will help increase its efficiency as well as promote the realization of a circular economy. In June 2022, the EcoX team participated in an event called “The Government Listens to Me” and submitted their project idea in the BCG model competition and was awarded 50,000 Thai Baht. Several measures and events took place within the EcoX Hackagreen project, such as community tour activities in July 2022 with children as volunteer guides in connection with a workshop for children in August. A so-called Plogging Run (Jogging + Picking up) was organized on September 11, 2022 where children and youths jogged, collected trash and engaged in discussion, a concept that originated from Sweden. There were also forest walks and other community environmental programs.
