This youth-led campaign focused on public transportation, which is an important topic in Chiang Mai linked to pollution problems, traffic congestion and gentrification. It sought to provide a platform for the voices of young people on the limited means of public transportation in the city and surrounding area and how it is still lacking. The youth group started the project with a petition titled “Chiang Mai Needs Mass Transit” on Change.org, where 3,984 people signed up to the campaign. This campaign highlighted problems related to public transportation in Chiang Mai, which fails to meet the needs of the local inhabitants, for instance, through pollution, traffic jam, road accidents, and household debts arising from the buying of personal vehicles. On June 6, 2022, an outreach activity was organized at Tha Phae Walking Street and focused on the question “If we have a mass transit system, where do you want to go?” together with “Build, Build, Space” from SYNC SPACE, a group that campaigns for more creative public spaces in Chiang Mai. The youths organized a campaign titled "Public transport means that Chiang Mai should have…" during the event "Looking for the Future: Direction and Development of Public Transport for Chiang Mai People" on August 29, 2022. The youths also collaborated with Green Moves the City, Chiang Mai Public Health and Lanner to organize that event on August 27, 2022, at Chiang Mai City Hall of History. Around 50 people from the general public, students and youth groups joined the activity. These activities share the aim of identifying problems and approaches to develop an effective public transportation system in and for Chiang Mai with a special focus on themes such as public transportation as public welfare, self-determination and the development of public transportation, and air pollution in urban area as a result of the lack of public transportation.
