Khon Kaen
Khon Kaen is in the middle of the Northeastern region of Thailand at 450 kilometers away from Bangkok. khon kaen was founded 230 years ago and has seen a rapid economic and societal growth in the 1960s. A great number of infrastructure developments were introduced during that time while it was becoming a hub of Isan's economy in regards to government offices, education, medical and industry. khon kaen has been one of the leading provinces in the country. Another great feature of khon kaen is that they have one of the strongest civil society in Thailand. City developments are a result of the collaborations of the government, private sector and the people. This city is a model for sustainable city management. Culture of khon kaen is also prominent as a city of silk and geology learning sites. At the moment, khon kaen has been designated as a development center of the northeastern region and a center of The Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS). Khon Kaen is also home to a global geopark and a world craft city for Mudmee.

- Cooperation between urban development youth groups and civil society in and outside Khon Kaen. In order to build a strong social development network.
- Collaborate to create proposals for urban development that work together with both academic and local action groups.
