This workshop is conducted by DataEthics/ Pernille Tranberg.

Today, personal data is mainly in the hands of states and big companies. In a data democracy, on the other hand, personal data is controlled by the individual. Understand the newest trends in personal data control and personal data “trusts” and “stores”. Get concrete examples of the way in which data can be placed in the hands of and controlled by the individual – while benefitting also companies, governments and scientists. In this workshop, you will also learn about concrete digital self-defence and tools you and your organisation can use based on data and AI ethics principles. Which questions do you need to ask and what should you look for before choosing a digital service?

This workshop is aimed at the participants of the summer school and will not be available online.
