Janelle Botha & Die Wandelaars. This dynamic pop rock ensemble, originally formed for the Camp Rock Festival in 2023, promises an energetic performance.
Janelle Botha is excited to challenge perceptions of Afrikaans music, aiming to showcase its rich, emotive qualities and its connection to contemporary rock genres. “I want to show people that Afrikaans music is unique and can connect deeply with audiences,” she says, emphasizing her newfound appreciation for her native language and its cultural significance.
The concert is part of the "Night Under the Stars" (NUTS) series, an initiative by the Goethe-Institut Namibia to support and celebrate local artists and live music. Since its launch in 2016, NUTS has provided a vibrant platform for diverse musical talents, fostering cultural exchange and artistic expression within the community.
