*Conditions Apply is an installation-cum-performance art piece that explores the idea of being free within an ever-changing, dynamic set of constraints — Freedom from societal expectations, freedom from financial security or just the freedom to express oneself. The constraints are represented as swathes of sheer cloth that divide the space into irregular parts. The installation is designed as a narrative space that simultaneously guides and challenges the viewer. This turns into the performance area, where the performer explores the meaning of freedom. As the artist traverses the constraints, she realizes that Freedom can be redefined within these constraints.
