Step 1: Are you already a member of the library?

You can find out about the terms of use of the library on our website. Our library team will gladly inform you during a personal visit. If you are already a member of the library, you can go straight to step 2.

Step 2: Have you already registered on My Goethe.de?

If you have not yet registered on My Goethe.de, you can now comfortably set up an account online . To log in to the online catalog use your log-in data from My Goethe. In addition, with My Goethe.de you can also use all other personalized online offers of the Goethe-Institut in the fields of language, culture and library. If you have previously registered on My Goethe.de, you do not need to register again. Please proceed directly to step 3.

Step 3: Get unlocked!

In order to activate your account, the library team requires the e-mail address with which you registered with My Goethe.de. Please fill in our registration form and send it to the library. After submitting the form, the library team will inform you as soon as your use of the library's online catalog has been activated. Usually, the activation is completed within two working days.

Registration for the Online Catalog

Our library's online catalog (OPAC) allows you to browse the media offerings around the clock and get an overview of the books, CDs, DVDs, magazines and electronic resources that we have in our inventory.

Library members may register for a personalized account in order to renew borrowed media via the Online Catalog. The personalized use of OPAC offers you the following advantages:

Display of borrowed media including due date
Extension of the loan period of your media
Insight into open and paid fees
Submitting of purchase proposals for the media holdings of the library
Commenting on media
Overview of the media you have borrowed in the past

What do you need to log in to the online catalog?

In order to use the personalized features of our online catalog, you need a library membership and a free registration on My Goethe.de.
