Why did you decide to learn German at the Goethe-Institut Thailand? Take part in our video competition "Why do I learn German at the Goethe-Institut Thailand?"! Tell us about your reasons and experiences!

Learning German with expertise for your success!

With a total of 185 million speakers, German is now the eighth most widely spoken language in the world.

The Goethe-Institut brings the German language to the world. We offer German courses and German exams in over 90 countries. The language courses of the Goethe-Institut are currently flourishing all over the world.

Our class is a comprehensive and communicative language course that uses authentic texts in real-life situations. It is up-to-date and offers various opportunities to engage with German speaking cultures.

WHO?

All course participants of the Goethe-Institute Thailand who are attending or have attended a language course from January 2023 onwards.
 

YOUR TASKS

Be creative and create a video on the topic of " Why am I learning German with Goethe-Institut Thailand?".
  • Keep your video short (45 seconds to 3 minutes) and speak German.
  • Upload your video to YouTube and fill in the entry form with the link.
  • Upon registration, please select your language proficiency level, either A Level (A1 and A2) or B Level (B1 and B2).  
  • Important: Do not use copyrighted music and respect other people's privacy, see conditions of participation.
The deadline is 30th November 2023 and each participant can only submit one video. The winners will be announced on 6th November 2023 at the Goethe-Institute. The award ceremony will take place on 9th December 2023 at the Goethe-Institut in Bangkok.

PRIZES

1st place: a language course scholarship for 80 teaching units (UE) at the Goethe-Institut Thailand
2nd place: a language course scholarship for 40 lessons at the Goethe-Institute Thailand.

The videoclips from A Level and B Level will be judged separately. The participants from both groups have a chance to win both above-mentioned prizes.
 

CRITERIA FOR THE EVALUATION

  • The experiences and reasons in your videoclips are up-to-date and relevant.
  • The video is easy to understand, structured, creative and interesting.
  • The main language is German and the language is easy to understand.
