The highlight of our annual network meeting in Berlin is, for example, the participation in the WDR-Europaforum, which is an international conference with presentations and podium discussions on Europe’s political future. Eminent German and European politicians take part in the conference – including heads of state, ministers, EU Commissioners and parliamentary party leaders at the European Parliament as well as leading candidates and party chairs. Topical European issues are debated and questions about European affairs are answered in interviews with journalists from the public service broadcaster. The network meeting also offers exclusive discussion sessions – for example, at the German Federal Chancellery – as well as a diverse cultural programme.
During the Presidency of the Council of the European Union, special courses will also be organised in the capital of the host country, providing participants with the opportunity to gain an insight into the political structures of the EU member state concerned and to expand their professional network in Europe.
Regular receptions will also be held in Brussels and Luxembourg which aim to foster local networking.
