Girl’s Day

Omani society is changing: women are increasingly conquering the world of work. They implement their own business ideas and become self-employed, work in high positions in ministries, but also as police officers or engineers.

In framework of the first Omani Girl’s Day in October, twelve young Omani schoolgirls were allowed to visit five companies related to Germany in order to spend a day getting to know various professional fields that are not (yet) so typical for women. Many Omani girls already have a pretty clear idea of their inclinations and talents, their choice of studies, and what they want to do later in life. We are all the more pleased that we were able to take the girls by the hand to give them a little insight into the world of countless professions. The positive feedback from the girls speaks for itself and we hope to repeat this initiative soon.
