Open Day at the Goethe-Institut

The Open Day took place at the Goethe-Institut Muscat on May 2nd.

Also this year, many Omani schoolchildren and students visited the premises of the Goethe-Institut in the heart of Muscat with their families. In addition to the trial lesson "German in 20 minutes", which also had surprises in store for experienced German students, there were many different activities and games motivated the interest of the visitor to learn the German language and know more about Germany.
 
Since many German visitors stopped by the Goethe-Institut on the weekend day, our Omani PASCH teachers and students had come up with something special: In order to bring the Omani culture closer to the German residents in Muscat, Sultan Al Hammadi, an Omani PASCH-teacher, brought the Omani national dish "Harees" and showed in pictures how complicated the production is. The students of the Hail Al Awamer School colored the hands of the female guests with "henna". The highlight of the event was the performance of an Omani wedding with costumes, drums and singing.
