Film Program “NAAS: Green Reel” (Films for a Sustainable Future)

We are excited to announce the film program NAAS which is a collaboration of several cultural institutions in the UAE, including the Goethe-Institut Gulf Region, the Embassy of France in the United Arab Emirates, the Embassy of Canada to the United Arab Emirates, the Italian Cultural Institute of Abu Dhabi, Embassy of Switzerland to the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain and in partnership with Alliance Francaise in Dubai.  The program features a selection of predominantly independent films that explore relevant social and cultural topics for general and film-interested audiences in the UAE.

The first edition of the program "Green Reel: Films for a Sustainable Future" focuses on the themes of environment and sustainability.  It presents the feature, documentary, short, and family films that tackle the burning issues of our planet in entertaining and exciting ways.

The "NAAS: Green Reel” (Films for a Sustainable Future) will open on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, with the film "Rouge" by Farid Bentoumi (France), and will run till November 26 at Alliance Française in Dubai.
