What does this scholarship mean to you?
Since graduating, I have tried to maintain a close relationship to both architectural practice and academia. As a graduate, this scholarship motivates me to discover how research is paramount in informing practice and alternatively how the practice can inform the research. I owe my interest in this scholarship to the first time I visited a kindergarten as an adult, this scholarship allows me to be confident and careful about the spaces we produce and equip me with the knowledge that we can design with empathy and accuracy

What are you looking forward to in particular?
I am looking forward to being immersed in a new cultural and architectural landscape, i'm excited to be exposed to new ideas and ways of thinking and I hope that I can offer the same during this cultural experience. It has been one of my goals since university to expand my horizons and work abroad, so this opportunity is something I am very much looking forward to.
