"No Hard Feelings" at Mardi Gras Film Festival
In Sydney Cinemas & On Demand
The Mardi Gras Film Festival is back, and the Goethe-Institut is delighted to co-present the German film No Hard Feelings (German title: Futur Drei), a fantastic debut from director Faraz Shariat. The film won the Teddy Award at the Berlinale, and Best First Feature at Canada’s Inside Out Film Festival.
No Hard Feelings follows Parvis, a second-generation Iranian-German as he meets refugee siblings Banafshae and Amon, and falls in love with Amon. Inspired by the director’s own life, the audience is taken on a heart-warming, sometimes funny and poignant journey of fleeting youth and first love through a lens of displacement, modern hook-up culture and sexuality.
