Online course for EU and ministerial officials 

Language level: B2 – C1

Across six sessions, this course explores current trends in German literature, art and culture. Each session focuses on an author or artist who provides an insight into their works and specialist field, namely the photographer Herlinde Koelbl, the author Matthias Nawrat and the literature scholar Prof. Dr Susan Arndt. The course content is supplemented by practical language exercises. The deadline for applications is 25 November.

Venue: Representation of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg to the EU and as a live stream.
14.01.2022 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Author discussion with Matthias Nawrat about Reise nach Maine (Journey to Maine), 2021, Rowohlt.
10.02.2022 2 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. Prof. Dr Susan Arndt (University of Bayreuth): How do racism and sexism shape perception, language and society?
10.03.2022 12.30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Discussion on art (details to be confirmed)
31.03.2022 12.30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Closing session
