Self-Study with diverse learning material from everyday life on our learning platform. You can work on the online tasks flexibly and you receive automated feedback. For speaking and writing exercises you will receive individual feedback from your teacher.
Virtual meetings
Learn in live virtual meetings with your teacher and fellow learners. We use the Adobe Connect conferencing tool, which allows you to learn online as if you were in a classroom. You will discuss in plenum, but also in small groups and work on exercises together.
Individual support
Your teacher will introduce you to the conferencing tool and the learning platform. During the course, she/he will give you individual feedback regularly. If you have any questions, you can also contact our language course office at any time.
Blended Learning Course
For those who like it balanced: 50% live sessions, 50% self-study
Starting in May, we will offer more blended learning courses. The planned face-to-face courses will take place online in a virtual classroom. The Goethe-Institut will use the conference tool Zoom for this purpose, at no additional cost to you. Your teacher will give you an introduction. The regular terms and conditions apply.

Location and course process during the current situation
The course periods that are usually face-to-face will take place in a virtual class room with the tool Zoom. The online periods take place on the learning platform of the Goethe-Institut.
50% of a blended learning course consists of online self-studying.
You will get access to our online platform where you will find the online part of your chosen course. This online part contains motivating and varied exercises, flashcards to practise vocabulary, and summaries of all the important grammar structures and expressions you will learn during the course.
Your online tutor will give you weekly training tasks which you can work on flexibly at your own pace within the respective week. These tasks prepare you for the weekly face-to-face sessions in which you will meet with your class online. Most online activities are carried out individually. But there are also some types of tasks that are interactive and where you interact with your learning group on the online platform. These group activities include, for example, small texts about your hobbies, interests or upcoming events. You also take part in group discussions and comment on texts written by your learning partners.
All course materials you need for the blended learning and the online course are provided online free of charge.

Our intensive course with more flexibility
Our online group course is for everyone who wants to learn German flexibly without having to give up the group feeling of learning German. All four skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) are taught. The course takes place on the Goethe-Institut learning platform and in a virtual classroom.

Yes, we offer conversation courses of levels A2 to C1. For those courses, you will meet the teacher and the other participants once a week online in a virtual meeting. You will work on your vocabulary and learn structures in order to be able to discuss different topics in German.
